Who is pipping and waiting right now??

Yesterday 3:20 pm This is day 20 for me, and 6 out of 9 have pipped. I've been standing over the bator all day watching them try to work their way out of those tiny little eggs. (I really need a life)

I don't know...perhaps one cannot get more in touch with life than when watching a hatching/birth. Good luck with the hatch.

Me too. I must have not waited around for patience either but I do have the ability to become distracted which helps keep me from messing with them until their all hatched out. 16 of 16 on Sat.

well i had to open the the bator early because 1 poor bugger was stuck in his shell, just his head out of the top, everything dried to him, and i could tell his breathing was getting more labored. we have 35 out of 40,, and i think 2 others are almost hatched, hoping them last 3 make it.

Wow, the1much!!! What a bunch of cuties you got there!!!! Congrats!

I just put a dozen assorted marans eggs in the hatcher so now the final countdown begins.

I have had to battle to keep my humidity up even above 23% much less keep it where it should be!

Soooo, here goes nothing! The eggs are so dark I can't tell anything when I candle so no clue of what will happen. Just have to wait it out.

The picture of the chick with no back fuzz reminds me of when I cleaned my bator. It was full of yellow fuzz under the hatch mat and in the water reservoir. It will be okay I think. As long as it isn't picked on too much.
