Who is pipping and waiting right now??

I am waitting and waitting and waitting....

I had one chick hatch 3 days ago ... and nothing since. ...I see rocking and maybe some pipping but I will here for some time now.

I am not going to hear anythiny....I

My last three died without pipping. The inner membrane was rubbery and white, which is odd because my humidity in the hatcher was over 75% these last days. Anyone else have any experience with that? Were they doomed from the start?
So far just one Silver Grey Dorking and one Red Dorking. Next batch, which is quickly dwindling, isn't due for another week or more. Cyn, I'm almost scared to try with the blue orp eggs...

I am so sorry Mrs AK You need to get more Dorking eggs. Could the humidity have been too high and not enough air flow through the incubator? I had that problem with the not pipping and then started doing the dry incubation method, I always keep plenty of ventilation in my home made bator. But then my hatches arent that great, but, if it was fully developed and didnt pip I am thinking it may have been drowned in shell.

Sorry to hear about this Tori. That's part of the problem with incubators that makes me keep hoping that among the silkies I've purchased some will be broodies. I've always had better hatch rates with broody hens than the incubator. I've seen some weird stuff in my incubator lately. Dried membranes even though I go the humidity at the right level. too large air cells and chicks hatching too early.

I took my last two silver grey dorkings that are showing movement and planted them under my broody silkie... HAIL MARY!!!!

I had one, that was not due to go to the hatcher until tomorrow, hatch in the bator. Prompted me to move all to the hatcher and have 2 more pipped already. Stinkin Roo has some quick development genes.
