Good thing you posted 2 pics SGM. I saw the egg in the first one, and was thinking 'Oh no!! They have the pointed end up!!' Looks like the little booger just flung it out of the way

Here's another EE/Ameraucana chick that hatched while I was out today.

6 chicks out, 4 more pipped, and one of the pips is in a cracked egg... I didn't notice the crack until I candled on day 7, and there were veins! So I left it...

Poor little girl is just screaming her head off in there... better go see what she wants.

Well, since everyone else is posting pics, might as well show mine off...

Gave them all back to mama tonight, that makes all 8 of her eggs!! Hope she doesn't reject them, the chicks she already has are 4&5 days old I think.

These are all blue splash/black dutch mixes (1) and blue splash/blue splash dutch (3). Except for the one on the left. My dad put that egg in from his hen's eggs. Could be anything, he's got SLW, RIR, and white leghorn roos and hens, plus light brahma hens. Any ideas? Hint, it is yellow, with brown stripes down it's back. Also must be a girl...she put her eyeliner on before she hatched!!

I'm on day 20 and I want to check the eggs soooooo bad!!!

I'm scared that something has happened and the little boogers aren't alive!!

This waiting is killing me!!! How many days does it take for one to pip?

Mine have been hatching a wee bit early. All of my eggs due today hatched yesterday. My bantams which are due tomorrow, only have 1 of 5 pipped right now so they're looking good for their due date.

My Mama Muscovy has been sitting on 8 eggs due on the 14-15Th (35 days). She has been off the eggs alot lately, but it has been 95 -100 degrees here in Brazil every day.Yesterday she was chattering all day.
Well today I walked by the pen and she started to chatter at me,she was standing over the nest,and I heard a peep and looked and here is a duckling, with another pipping, and from what I can see a few more eggs moving. This is 5 days early. Will keep you posted.

Day 20 Just checked, I have 5 blue andalusian eggs in the incubator and through the window I can see holes in two of them. Hopefully when I come home for lunch they'll have hatched.

This is our first hatch...had several with pips on day 21 (yesterday). Two had hatched by 8 AM and nothing since then...at all. We left the two babies in the incubator until this morning and they walked, bumped, moved the others. Would that have hurt them?

How long should we wait before we give up on the others?
