Its funny you say that. I had to candle a few to find the air pocket and mark it which end was up because it was oblong. LOL

Yeah I have a game hen who's eggs are like that. You have to lay them on their side and turn them by hand a few days, until you can see the air sac real good!! Her's are more rounded, like a baseball.

Cracked egg? Wow! I throw mine away when they are cracked....didn't think that would work. I am up to 4 little Bow Whites.

One egg is really having a hard time getting out. It piped second (yesterday) but still only has a little whole with its beak hanging out a bit. It still chirps and moves once in a while so I know it's alive. It started piping really low......towards the bottom of the egg more then the top. It is in a quail egg container (I cut it down even more) and I moved it with a long wood toothpick thing (threw the vent hole) so it's hole was not covered by the egg carton. Should I move it on its side to the floor of the bator? I don't want to disorientate it anymore than I have to.

Ok, I am on day 22 and only 2 out, there is one that has been pipped for over 24 hours and the beak is sticking out and part of the shell is broke off but you can see into the egg and the little chick looks like it is still in some kind of sack...I will try to get a pic, it isnt trying really hard or anything.....its not really moving just it's beak opening and closing....what should I do, shouls I try to help it? also, where the shell cracked there is a little spot of blood????

we have one other one with a super small pip last night, now nothing.
