We are on day 19 with my "mutt" chicken eggs to test my bator skills before I order some beautiful blue eggs from pips and peeps for my girls. This is my first attempt and my term. went out last night so I drug out another one (that hasn't yet been tested

) and we will see what we end up with. At least I know I can do this again. I will be out buying a better therm. before we start again. Thanks to Jean and Miss P for the kind words and e-mails to help me know I could do this thing!

Just cleaned the hatcher and today 6 black/blue/splash cochin eggs go in-- eggs are so dark and full I can't tell what's going on in there but I'll keep my fingers crossed!

waiting impatiently for the ringnecked pheasants to hatch on Wednesday-- not only becasue i am anxious to see them-- but I am expecting a shipment of eggs then too! I hope the pheasants hatch and I have just hte right amount of time to clean the rcom while the eggs are resting-LOL

Today is day 18 or 19 depending on how you look at it, and they are coming out of the turner tray today....

excited about my first hatch! And the rest of the chickens are excited about having new friends!

Day 21 for broody rir hen...first one is starting to hatch....mama has the egg right up under her breast. Will post updates when I get them.
