Congrats . I am waiting for mine to hatch next week . We did candle the eggs night before last and found 3 good eggs and 1 bad . No bator , she is doing it all her own . and
this is her 1st. time of sitting on eggs , so we decided to go with only 4 eggs . So , this time next week , I will be the one screaming with joy . congrats again :)

I have had some eggs in a borrowed incubator, and I have been curious about what is a pip.Today is day 20, I figured it out last night I had 2 pips and this morning I had I baby still have another 9 that should hatch in the next day or so. My kids are excited.

I am in heaven. I have 9 absolutely PERFECT BBS orpingtons in my brooder, with the possibility of one more. I candled the remaining 4 eggs, and 3 had given up. But I saw movement, and its beak was pipped into the airsac, so I quickly put it back in.

Man this week has gone fast! Just locked down the other bator. 11 eggs total.

2 Mille Fleur leghorns, 2 crele polish curtesy of ScbirdFarm

5 Golden Lakenvelder and 2 Cuckoo Marans curtesy of e-bay.

The first 4 are actually not due until Sunday night, but the others are due Friday. So I locked the whole thing down

It will be interesting to see if these standard size chicks are much smaller at hatch then my cochins that will be about a week old.
