Who is providing the recipes for todays menu?

Put your leftover bbq meat in the crockpot with some added water. Let it slow cook and make a pot of rice - eat it like hash.

Supper this evening will be........ Baked BBQ country ribs, potato pancakes and steamed veggies....

Chicken Alfredo casserole:

1/2 stick butter
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 diced clove garlic
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1/2 c. milk

Heat until creamed/melted. Pour over grilled/cooked chicken strips. Toss with cooked egg noodles, throw into greased pan, sprinkle with Italian bread crumbs and throw in oven for about 20 minutes at 350 (just to crispy up the top)

Serve with rolls, salad, and anything else that sounds good.

I love chicken alfredo...mmm

. That may just be dinner tomorrow night! Maybe I'll even throw some broccoli in it too!

Whenever I want ideas for dinner, I go to Tastespotting

It's a collection of pictures from foodie blogs, and it's updated constantly. You can also search the site for an ingredient or dish. So when I wanted new ideas for what to do with lentils, I just typed that word into the search and got a ton of new ideas. One of them is my new favorite recipe. I learned how to poach eggs there, and when my cousin requested carrot cake for his birthday, I got 5 great recipes that, when combined, made me a lover of carrot cake for the first time in my life. When I'm at work and want ideas for what to make for dinner, I just go here and get tons of great suggestions. It's my favorite food site.

I also think the concept behind this site is neat, even though I've never put it to good use.

Last, being of Greek descent, this newly found blog is really piquing my interest.

Xtina, what have you done to me?

I've just spent an hour and a half looking at Tastespotting.

The chophouse dinner is killing me - now I have to clean my car off and go to the store so I can have a bloody Mary shrimp cocktail and the salad tonight!

Making a big meal tonight to split with a family from our church: BBQ meatballs, cheese potatoes, sugar cookies and of course, deviled eggs.
