I wanna go!! My kids are finally getting old enough to take now. It's really hard to take a toddler. I always outfish my hubby and of course I rub it in too.

Don't forget, we do everything BIG here... what you consider a nice caught fish is what we call "bait".

I made 'fake ribs' last night that didn't turn out well at all. And so, now I have elk round steak cut into strips, that have been par-boiled, covered in BBQ sauce and slow baked. The meat was tough and the sauce is too strong for my taste.

I have enough meat to do something with, but need help planting the seed of 'what' that might be. Soup? Stew?

Any suggestions?

If you were to throw together a stew quick and then eat dinner at 6 or so, it would have a couple hours to get tender. I've used Italian dressing or a can of cola when marinating tougher cuts of meat. I've never cooked elk but I've done deer and they seem to do better when slow cooked with a savory liquid.
