I know the sire was a Speckled Sussex, but I'm not sure if the mother was a Lavender Orpington or a Welsummer. All of the other SS/LO crosses where black with various degrees of mahogany leakage. This cockerel has always been mainly this copperish color. He also isn't quite as big and stout as the confirmed Orp crosses. I've never had a Welsummer rooster, so I wouldn't know what to look for. Any guesses?

Editing my answer because I remembered that Sussex has white skin, which would account for the legs here.

I'd put my money on Welsummer because of bodyshape and coloration.

looks like a welsummer mixes. lavender is a diluter gene he wouldn't be that color if he had lavender in him.

since white legs are dom. you only need one parent with that color legs and since SS have white legs their offspring should also have that color
