I lay mine on the side. I feel if a mother hen hatches them that way, that is how it should be.
By the way, my 4 banties started their sitting yesterday, so they are 1 day ahead of us. Last time they hatched 2 out of 12 and I hatched 25 out of 32. So they are with us on this also, just a day ahead. I figured if I am trying again, I may as well let them try again also.

I loved they color and the way they looked. If this fails I may just end up having to purchase day olds.
Barnwife, did you have you andies shipped and hatch them yourself? I have always been told 3rd time is a charm, I am just hoping it will be the 2nd time instead.

I may have to do the same thing if I fail this hatch. Once again I have about 60 eggs in the bator and cannot find my neighbor to borrow his. My just have to stop by when I see him home, or go purchase another one and let hubby throw a fit for a day or two. He always seems to get past it sooner or later.
By the way, I purchased a female GSD due to complication with my females pregnancy. I will post a pic for you to see. I will say she is a character.

Ebay is where I won my first batch of Andies and my Jersey Giants. My first batch of Andies flopped and I was just happy the lady was nice enough to send me more. I mean I did kill off the first before they even got out of the shell. Hope my Temp/Hum thermometer gets here soon.
