I would give the others another day or two before giving up on them. They may just be late bloomers.

Well, I have 1 baby that keeps falling to her left, 1 baby passed away before getting out of the shell and 1 is in the incubator trying to revive. I had it in the brooder and it was not doing well, kind of like Itsy, so I put it back in the incubator until tomorrow morning. That large air sac is just not a good thing. Will know more in the morning about how many babies make it.

I candled all my other eggs and air sacs look good.

Next up to hatch are my Guineas, I think they are due around the 5th and the 9th. The red golden pheasants are due around the 12th, my shipped eggs will go in Saturday or Sunday making them due on the 14th or 15th (?) and my peafowl egg is due on the 15th. My other peafowl egg was infertile unfortunately. I am hoping the fertile one is from my white hen.

Lets just stagger some hatches.

LOL you're as bad as me about staggering hatches. Mine are due mon/tues then again the 2nd, then the 10th...

Of course the next batch of eggs coming the first week of June...

My eggs are here, just waiting for the PO to open to pick them up. I said I had 30, but if she sent extra (which I will let you know) I have 30+. Hope my load of rock does not show up before I get back.

The baby I put in the incubator has made a complete turn around and was put back in the brooder this morning.

The baby that kept falling over, is now named Scooter. I think it just takes time for some of their brains to kick into the walk mode, but she now scoots around.
Scooter is a much better name than Floppy.

How are our babies Bob and Frilly? I wonder what that falling over thing is caused from.

Large air sac surviviors, except the BA in the middle was kept in the brooder to teach them to eat and drink. The 2 blue tinted are my JG. Scooter is in front of Blue at the bottom of the pic.

Here is Blue, my one and only Blue Andalusian (but I have more eggs arriving today).

Last but not least, Itsy. She hatched out of a refrigerated egg that had been so for 4 days.

I've had several poults start out slow like scooter, most eventually get it and get going. They bear watching and a little extra care when they "turtle" like that but mostly mine have made it. Glad Itsy got up and went! More proof refridgerated eggs can hatch, I have a bunch of those here too. I love blue birds...

Best of luck...

She came to me with a dozen Guinea eggs, also refrigerated. I have pretty many going to hatch.

WAIT, my next hatch is due around the end of the month. The Guineas would be 7 days after Itsy (28 days).

I have Frilly all swaddled up sitting under my desk with the heater on her. She is just peeping up a storm.

I received 32 eggs for the shipper. She sent 3 - 12 egg cartons and 1 - 6 egg carton. I am moving my incubator and going to do everything to a "T". I added 10 of my own eggs to make a full batch, okay to fill empty egg spaces.

I will admit it since I know I cannot fool you guys.

So tomorrow, I have a total of 42 eggs going in the incubator and this will be my last batch of the year.

So tomorrow, I have:

10 mixed
12 Blue Andalusian
8 Blue Birchen Marans
6 Blue Copper Marans
6 Appenzeller Spitzhauben

Anyone else have any going in tomorrow?

Looks like we are on the same schedule again CB! I just stuck eggs in my 2 incubators about an hour ago.

Already cooking is
30 Golden Cuckoo Marans
11 Blue Andalusians( one broke in shipment)
12 Ring Neck Pheasants
21 Coturnix Quail
1 bantam(from mine girls. First one that has been layed in about 5 weeks)

Still waiting on
40+ Coturnix Quail
25 Jumbo Georgia Bob Whites

I did modify the two bators for this hatch by adding computer fans to make them forced air so we will see how that goes.
I think I am going to buy a couple more LG bators to hatch with due to the staggered hatch times I am going to be dealing with.
16 to 19 days for the Coturnix
21 days for the chickens
23 to 24 days for the pheasants and Bob Whites
Plus the complication of the two late additions whenever the arrive.

Good luck CB and anyone else jumping on the bandwagon!
