On the 18th I have a dozen or so chicks due and 1 peachick.

My other peachick is doing great, so I hope this one does just as well. Temp has been steady (except for one little 2 degree spike), so far so good. Everyone is alive and kicking, except 2 are uncertain. I will have to actually count and see how many are due.

Luck with them CB. After that huge spike it wasn't like I expected any of these to finish at all. And pips... okay some birds just won't die...

And Faith is back with momma and appears fine today. Darn bird. Me I'm taking NSAIDS every chance I get because I had to pull that darn coop and brooder apart in record time and rebuild most of it by nightfall.

Well, I hope you did not put the walls back on top of the floor.
My coop is built just for the reason of moving if needed. Each wall is separate and only screwed into the wall next to eat and also removes easily from the foundation boards that are landscape timbers. The roof even comes off with screws removed on the inside and faisa (? spelling) board removed. I coop is 9 separate sections all screwed together.

I put turkeys in lockdown!!!! I candled one more time to have a quick little look before I put them away. 4 of the 5 have already pipped internally. WOOHOO!!!!

It's gonna be a long 2 days!!!!

You may want to take them to work so you can keep an eye on them during hatching.

Hmmmm..... Hey... That is a very good idea!!!!!!!!!!! What excuse could I use this time??? I got it.... I'm brand new to hatching turkeys. I just brought them because I want to make sure nothing goes wrong. Might just work!!!!

Ahhh ye mean pictures of all FIVE blue silkies??? I can do that for ya in the morning. Only one other came close but was too weak to get it done. Five after that temp spike is a miracle.

ETA: Okay, three blue, one light blue or splash, and maybe one black, all adorable.
