Who is with me?

Here they are, with all the problems I was having with my incubator going dry I was lucky to get 4 out of 6 ducklings and my gosling.

Yay Goose, yay ducks!

I just candled and didn't have great results on the eggs I got from a friend but my own PR eggs seem to be doing well.

Of course I have a pile of eggs held aside for when these hatch... Turkeys in the sixth and chicks the following week.

I was going to stop this at some point. I'm virtually certain of it. Still trying to get all the parts for the next attempt at incubator... omg... This one may be working but isn't big enough....

And my eggs at amazondocs are all going well... of course they are. There's going to be an almighty LOT of poultry round here if they all hatch....

Perfectly normal. Perfectly sane. Totally rational.

Anyone buying that????

I buy it, I buy it.

I keep telling hubby just one more time and one more time and one more time and this time is for my yard sale. Good thing he does not know what, or how many are in the barn baby coop.

I am rational, I am sane, I am just taking care of bug control for hubby and he just does not understand.

By the way, I did not get to candle last night. I guess by the tiome I get to they will either be pipped, hatched or spoiled.

So far everything looks good with my hatches. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The first(chickens) are supposed to start around the 15th, the last, the ducks and geese(if I do this right) around June 2nd.

However will be getting a couple more sets of eggs started in the meantime I am sure, because my other chickens, turkeys and guineas are not here yet.

I don't know... We bought a Hovabator last week (1602N model) with a turner. The temps are really fluctuating!

I'm honestly ready to start using the LG again. I had MUCH better temp control with that than this Hovabator. Today it went up to 103.5, forced air. I have too many eggs in, I will CRY if they don't make it!

Well I candled and the out come is not looking very good for my shipped eggs, but my own eggs are doing fine. I lost 8 eggs out of 58 and have 5 that are iffy, which I will check again in a couple days.

There are 2 weeks left before hatching, so I have placed the shipped eggs in an egg carton with the air sac upward. I will turn them side ways after 24 hours, then after 12 hours I will put them back upright. The eggs look the same as my last shipped eggs, huge air sacs and last time the chicks suffocated before getting out. If I fail at this I will have to find someone else to purchase from I guess and of course, I will try one more time. I may have to find someone close enough and pick up the eggs as Walkswithdogs did. It may be the only way to get the freshest eggs possible.

Should I, or should I say would you, increase the humidity to allow for more moisture in the eggs?

Guess what?!? I just had a hen go broody!

I have some eggs in the basement I was saving for the next batch in the bator, but I went ahead and put 4 more under hen. A real hen is much better than an incubator anytime!!!!

As far as eggs to hatch in 12 days, I candled again last night.... some I can't tell, but some is AMAZING! This is all new to me and I just can't believe my eyes!!!
