Who is your best layer?

The Rhode Island Reds are the most prolific in our flock.

My best layer is my blue andalusian hen.she lays a large egg everyday,even though it is really cold here.My next best layers are my 2 black australorp hens.They lay an egg every other day since its gotten cold.

Our best layer is Bandit. She's an Easter Egger. She's kind of a ratty looking girl. She was a favorite of the roos at the place we got her. She was missing a lot of feathers and has a lot of broken ones. This girl lays a monster egg pretty much every day. She loves to announce that she's laid too!

Yes, our chickens come in and out of the house to visit and get treats!

I think the question for me is more like "who is your ONLY layer?"

Well, okay so now I have 2 that lay, both are my only RSL's. My EE girls are all still slackers. If I knew how fantastic the RSL's were when I bought my chicks, I would have bought 4 of them and 2 EE's instead of the reverse. They lay an egg a day, missing one every week.
