Who Is Your Stupidest Hen?

I think the point of this thread is more about stupid birds and less about whether its a hen, a roo, or (hee hee) a duck.

The pair of runner ducks that I acquired are really quite dumb compared to my other ducks, so I call them "Dafty Ducks." Whenever I let them intermingle with my other ducks, they chase after the females and young ducks, which ends when I step in and separate them again. The other day the male runner duck was chasing my two youngest ducks, when the young ones bumped over their waterer, in their haste to get away. The runner duck went running right over the top of the waterer, tripped, and landed on his breast. Luckily I had company at the time, so we had a good laugh over that.

Hands down, Elvira is my dumbest hen. She's a black Silkie and I think she may have hit her puffy head as a chick.
She is famous for spazing out for no reason. All the girls will be out pecking and scratching, having a ball, and Elvira -out of no where, mind you- will JUMP straight up in the air, give a giant "BaKawwwwwwwkk!!" and take off running like the devil is chasing her.

I'm not really sure what her problem is..... Maybe she sees ghosts?
She will also get very broody and is hard to break. I would let her hatch eggs, but she will sit NEXT to her eggs instead of on top of them. Seriously, what an idiot.

Oh man, those are funny. I don't have anything to compare. I just had Whoopie, a (blue?) cochin who couldn't find an open door. Then there was the unfortunate Wendy, the silver spangle hamburg (my husband named her, I take no credit!) who refused to come home at night. I would hunt her down and put her in the coop. One night I couldn't find her and a fox did.

That would definately be Margaret for me! She is a Dominique who will never get an invitation to the Chicken Mensa society!! She is so dumb that she can't figure out how to get out of an open door --after watching all of her sisters go out!! She paces and cries awhile then she just forgets about it all together. She is just too dumb for words, poor girl.

Thanks. Could be. She was a hen that a friend rescued. The couple who owned her split up and my friend took all their chickens because the husband was going to kill them.
