I have 4 chihuahuas:

Scrappy was the first, he is now 4, red and white. He DOES NOT like anyone he doesn't know.

Xena came next, she just turned 4 and is a long hair/short hair mix so she's got crazy hair. She's blonde and I've never seen so many grown men afraid of a tiny dog. She's notorious for waiting until your back is turned and running up to bite your ankle. Everybody who comes up here always asks where she's out so they know if it's safe or not.

Macy, a black and white female who just turned 2 who is pretty sweet. Don't have much problems with her and strangers. She'll bark but has yet to bite.

Then there's Tater. He's a black and tan male who's about 7 years old who technically belongs to my future inlaws but he was left outside for a year so we brought him and his buddy the peekapoo inside with our brood. He's scared of EVERYTHING. Think he was mistreated before he came here, always acts like you're going to beat him. If you yell or clap your hands he hunkers down like "oh crap, here it comes."

Most of them suffer from "little dog" syndrome.

They think they are rottweilers trapped in a little body.

Currently we have a single puppy left from Scrappy and Xena. She's solid white except for the backs of her ears and one spot over her left eye. She's been sold but hasn't yet been delivered. She's been with us for 5 months so it was a little upsetting to see her go but we've got plenty and have a litter of chihuahuas and a litter of min pins on the way so she needed to move on to a new home. Her brother and sister got sold together several months ago but with the economy like it is, was hard to get rid of her, so I gave a discount so she could find her a new home.

Than I was holding my little Zoey and fell in love

She is.... THE BEST CHIHUAHUA EVER!!!

My aunt has six or seven of the little terrors!
Our family is divided by dogs. All my close family on my moms side has schnauzers - and all my close family on my dads side has chihuahuas

I love my chihuahuas, and just like big dogs you have to be strict about what is "good behavior" and what is not tolerated. It's a shame they get a bad rep sometimes becuase owners think little dogs are too cute to dicipline. Mine are GREAT with kids and have nver met a child they didn't love and lick on when given permission. I have 5 currently and raise puppies once every year or so. The litter I had this winter ended up having just one tiny boy - albeit a beautiful one! His mother is from a gun themed line ( her name is Crow's Lil Derringer Pistol ) and the new owner agreed to name him something to the effect of Top Gun or Tail Gunner. I do NOT breed for small size - the parents of this guy are both about 5 pounds while he is charting at between 2-3.
