Hi, I'm new here. Who loves Barred Plymouth Rocks besides me?

I've found them to be a great dual purpose bird and great with the family

I realized after looking again that there were little feet sticking out from underneath her in the 1st pic - that's so cute!! (But I was referring to the pic with the fully visible baby, lol!)

Yes. Plymouth Rock is the breed. Barred is the most common coloring. Barred Rock is just a common shorthand.

Barred Plymouth Rocks were the breed that made me fall in love with chickens. Of course, I loved chickens a lot already, I just didn't know how much I could love them until I had my Freema.

All of my large fowl hens are gone now, but last year I got two bantam Barred Plymouth Rock girls and they're just as charming as the big girls were, just in a tiny package. My flock just doesn't feel complete without a Barred Rock in it!
