I'd love mine more if they'd actually lay an egg for me. Rotten little freeloaders! [IMG]

Good thing they are so pretty and funny or I'd be hauling out the stew pot. The little brats are 40 weeks old and still no eggs. Grrrrr!

Wow. She is pretty. And so is her egg. I was thinking of ordering a couple of Welsummers as soon as Meyers opens up for ordering and now I am totally convinced!
They are more attractive than the Marans, aren't they! [IMG]

Order your chicks from Estes Hatchery, they got the REAL thing from Calicowoods Farm before the owner passed away. Their egg color is better than the hatchery bred ones that they wont give out information where they got their stock from. [IMG]

I too can attest to the quality of the Welsummers from Estes Hatchery. That's where I got mine from and I'm extremely happy with their looks as well as exceptional egg color. Nice people to deal with too.

Guess what? Ophelia's on the cover of a magazine! [IMG]

Well, not really. But she's from Meyer and the hen on their catalog looks just like her!
