Who persuaded a non-BYC'er to get Chickens?

My dad tasted how wonderful my girls eggs were. I said he could get some chickens. Now he has 8 little BR pullets. He is crazy over them too!

I showed a friend at work the post from thepetpaw fro 20 eggs, and told him i would loan him my bator !!! due to hatch the 23 !!!

Yep. One lady at work that made fun of me all year about my chickens, rolled her eyes and everything! NOW she is calling me for chicken advice!

And my niece....who is a definite backyard in the town kind of gal who is drifting towards the ornamentals!

I've got three different families that I think I'll soon have hooked!

I have pics of my chicks on my screen saver at work so if I'm running behind they see them and ask, 'Why on earth do you have all of those chicken pictures!'

Then with their mouth open and my hands in, I have a captive audience to bore with my chicken stories!

A coworker has been asking about various pets for years - he's been looking for just the right one. We have discussed dogs, cats, birds, snakes, etc.
One day, I brought in pictures of my eggs - I have browns, pinkish, cream and green ones in a victorian basket. As soon as he saw them, he realized what pet he wanted. He had 13 chickens as a boy, and after looking at my pix, he's going to get 4 pullets from me once they're going good and solid for me. LOL - I'm trying to work together a nice little rainbow producer pack for him. He's thrilled!
