Who saw Wild Man (I think the name) on Animal Planet last night?

I noticed that as well. The other thing that cracks me up is his sidekick "seems" to be scared to death of everything and is constantly backing away. Not much support.

Oh dear. I'm so sorry, but I found that really pathetic. I'm glad he caught the fox rather than killed it, but was it really necessary to treat the chickens like rags and the fox like a toy? And that whole thing with using the coop as a trap. He's the inventor of pop holes! Why did I never think of putting a door to the coop?! Genius!

One thing I love was hearing the accents. It's like they never ungritted their teeth. *starts practising her Kentucky accent*

I saw an episode where he caught a raccoon in an abandoned car a guy wanted to rehab. After that they took the raccoon somewhere far away and RELEASED IT to be someone elses problem.

I realize it's a reality tv show but in this episode I thought why not just open the door let it out and remove the car.

I have a hard time watching reality tv. Not saying that I don't but, I always notice the scripted feel to all that I have seen. Even the pit bull rescue show. . . They're in a completely different state doing a pit bull rescue and (SURPRISE) she just happens to hear a barking dog and follows the sound to a pit (perfectly healthy and friendly) tied under a bridge. What if it was a lab or shepherd?

We used to have a couple of good shows here. Animal Hospital with Rolf Harris was one. IIRC, it followed the RSPCA in it's work. Another, more recent one is Bionic Vet. Now that's cool stuff. Amazing.

I do all types of animal rescue, & that really does happen sometimes (not every time, but obviously the show only shows the most interesting or dramatic moments not the small stuff, & I dont think that they released the husky mix from that one episode onto a busy highway & tried to run her over with a semi). You go for one & find another to add to the mix. Some of the areas she goes to have strays or dump dogs EVERYWHERE. Certain parts of ABQ are like that. You drive around & see quite a few loose, stray, or feral dogs running around. Sadly it does happen. While the weight issue is kinda odd you do not know when these dogs were dumped, or lost or whatever, & if their running loose what they've been eating. They could be eating trash can leftovers or some nice person could be feeding them. I recently trapped a stray cat that showed up at a neighbors property incredibly emaciated, & after a month or so of them giving him leftovers like turkey legs, ribs, & chicken said cat is HEAVY. I can name plenty of items in a garbage can that would cause a dog to blow up like a balloon. Sorry but im a BIG Tia & P&P fan.

Every state should require some sort of licensing and microchipping before one can own a cat or dog. Where I live stray dogs and especially feral cats are a big problem. I know I may take some heat for those comments but that's my opinion. It's a huge problem in a lot of areas and I too worked at an animal shelter for 4 years. The waste of life (euthinasia) that goes on in animal shelters because people are irresponsible is enough to make you sick, literally. While I'm on the soap box I had a lady bring in a box of 7 or 8 kittens, don't remember anymore. I ask where she got them and she told me there were from her cat. I told her I could arrange a low cost spay for the cat. She told me that the cat was at the vet to be spayed and she let the cat have kittens so her kids could she the miracle of birth and a mother cat taking care of her kitten. I replied, well maybe your kids would like to come back in a week and see the miracle of death. Yes I did say it. Truth hurts.
