Who shops at dollar stores?? Any favorites?

My fave is the dollar tree too..

they have a little of everything..

When I was in there getting my christmas wrap..

I saw those ceramic plates, the ones that are very bright in color with a swirl pattern from the center of the plate out..

You could tell they were seconds .. but if you pick through the seconds you can get some really good ones.

they had the matching mugs too.

I might just have to go back after the new year..

That's what I do!! I love Dollar Tree and Dollar General. We also have a Big Lots. Do any of you have those??

I plan on going shopping the week between Xmas and New Years to buy holiday supplies for next year!

I went to Big Lots for the first time a fe weeks ago. I thought their prices were kinda high for alot of things, BUT....
I got these really cute scarecrows, with straw hanging out of their shirts and legs, about 3 feet tall on a bamboo pole for SIXTY CENTS each!

I like the Dollar store. I agree on the wrapping paper, too. I started buying smaller rolls for the same reason. I can't wait till after Christmas. I'll be buying up supplies for next year!

Is the Dollar Tree chain the only real dollar store where you all are at, or are there mom & pop dollar stores still around?

There are still a few mom and pop style dollar stores in my area, but, in general, I find them messier and dirtier than our local Dollar Tree. I really dislike shopping in filthy stores. Ugh.

I've gotten a few little plastic bin things there, and party favors when I was a kid, but in general, find that most of the common stuff in them can be gotten for cheaper elsewhere, or that the quality of goods is often sub par/watered down so to say.

I was just at my local Dollar Tree and Big Lots the other night. I don't go too often, but I love that everything is $1 at Dollar Tree! I bought lots of stocking stuffer type stuff. Gum, candy, etc...
