Who talks about BYC around the dinner table?

My husband, who has grown to respect this chicken site for answering our most inane and important questions about chickens and other things, refers to BYC as the "chicken porn site.". Yes, we have discussed all manner of BYC topics at the dinner table,

I think BYC has helped us enjoy our chickens, laugh at ourselves, and did I mention we built a rockin 12x24' chicken coop/potting shed barn basing many of our design efforts from people with experience on BYC? That silly barn was all encompassing as we built it last year. Remove the chickens, put in new floor and it would be a perfect cabin, it is rock solid. That being said he doesn't "get" the site, but appreciates hearing info I glean from here. He skips the gossip, but occasionally I have to dish on a thread that was axed, like a moth to a flame, I have to look.

I tend to read all these threads and think of new coop ideas or other ways to handle the chickens. I then normally make a 3D google sketchup rendition of a new coop, complete with little chicken inside, and then chase after my mom trying to show her what we could do. I normally have all the pricing researched and written out too.

I then spend a lot of time creating and recreating my perfect coop, and then show her every step and revision.

I talk about it incessantly. I got tired of repeating "Back Yard Chickens Forum" over and over again, so I just shortened it to "the forum", and everyone ( family, friends, children, neighbors, neighbor's children ) knows I'm talking about BYC, or, "that crazy chicken site"...

But then again, they now have all (grudgingly) become chicken people by proxy.
