Thanks everyone for reminding me of the Toledo Mudhens! I'd forgotten how Klinger would go on about them. Hate to disappoint, but I'm not a big fan of sports, so can't lay claim to thinking of my screenname in their honor.

Ooooh, Erin, how dastardly, LOL! I love guineas, but they are the noisiest critters on earth. Sweet revenge.

I also have a baby monitor in the coop. You get used to the noises and learn what they all are then you don't notice unless something sounds wrong. If someone was whispering around my coop, I could hear every word!

I asked DH if we could get some guineas, he said no, just chickens (he loves the chickens). Oh well. I think I want a turkey, is their gobble gobble loud?

You want really loud, get a peacock. Not only will it scream, it will do so from the top of nasty neighbor's roof. If the scream doesn't get them, the sound of a bird that big land on their roof will.

Yep, I live in the Austin area, Round Rock to be exact. I love Callahans...it's just fun to visit.

Yes Karen, I want a peacock, but DH says no to that too, thank god he loves chickens. I don't know about the rest of you, but my hubby tries to get out and feed the chickens before me because he loves to watch them come running.
