Who waves to other drivers?

Oh, yeah! I live in dairy farm country and everyone waves.

Before we moved there, my husband and I had a 45+ min commute into the city and saw the same guy everyday with an opposite commute. We both waved to him every day for months, sometimes quite obnoxiously, and only once did he give the teeniest little wave. What a snob!

We wave/nod to everyone on the backroads here. We live in one of the most rural areas in our state and it takes up about 20 minutes to get out of our backroads alone so we're bound to see people we know. Some people even honk if they know you around here.

Yep, I live rural, and while I use to know everyone, times have changed and I don't know half of the people now, but everyone (except most of the teens and the oldies who shouldn't be on the road anyway, to be honest!) wave and if you aren't careful will pull over to chat for awhile! I love rural living, there is nothing like it.

I Live in a small rural town where i know most of the people, but generally don't wave, I just started driving so i'm usually paying attention to the road instead of the other side, bu usually if i know some one i will wave it just a friendly gesture that we all use here in the south.

Umm...no. I live in New York. If another driver mistook my friendly gesture the wrong way, I'd be wearing a toe tag in short order!

I usually wave unless I'm in traffic- growing up out in the country everybody waved or tooted their horn at you if you were outside. People here still do it somewhat but not like when I was growing up.

We live in NY I usually give thumbs up to muscle cars of the 60's,70's or any one with an older Monte but not a wave. I noticed bikers always give some sort of wave to each other. I say Hello to people that walk past our house but they sort of look surprised and open their mouths to say hi back but nothing comes out. The same people do it all the time but I will always say Hello.

We wave in our area. Bikers do seem to have their own wave, here it's like they are pointing to the ground when they pass by each other. I guess that's to keep from getting off balanced...lol

When I used to have a Jeep Wrangler, it was customer to give people with the the same Jeep the peace sign. Don't know why, but it worked for me!

(who only waves to let someone know that something is wrong with their car)
