Silver coturnix...What is that?
Are you sure you are not talking about buttons? I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I don't know what a silver coturnix is...
Please explain
SILVERS ARE RARE IN THE US AND NORTH AMERICA FOR THAT MATTER
BASICALLY THEY ARE A BROWN THAT IS DEVOID OF RED PIGMENT AND THE BLACK PIGMENT IS DILUTE. SO WHAT YOU HAVE IS A WILD PATTERN BIRD THATS IN SHADES OF SLATE BLUE/ GREY. QUITE ATTRACTIVE LIL BOOGERZ
Thank you all for your help. I think that I have figured out who I am going to put this bird with next spring depending on gender. If he is a little boy I have a beautiful blue tinted wild hen I will put him with and if by some miracle he happens to be a she I hopefully will still be able to pick up some EW's with spots from a breeder on here.

Thanks JJ and thanks peewee, for the pic reference! I won't be getting any of that color anytime soon. It's probably an unpredictable size/color/pattern, that is only available "Down Under". I can appreciate that.
