Whoa... unexpected chick!

I'll pick up one or two more chicks tomorrow, and the feed.
I'll feed her some bread tonight, and take some pictures!

Fleabuskitty, yes I do feed frozen normally and my intent was to euthanize the chick, freeze it and then feed however it just looks oh to big for Khloe

Stick with crumbled hard boiled egg till you can get to the feed store. KEEP IT WARM and yes it needs a buddy, perhaps a couple buddies...then you can have chickens and teach your snake how to eat eggs INSTEAD of chickens.

You are totally going to cause a break up with the more chicken ideas!
Especially with the guineas idea!

How do they handle heat?

Just wondering how the chick is doing today. Did it survive the night? Did you get it a buddy or two? Update, please!

The chicks do have heat, that part I knew about

We went back to the same food store, and they are Ameraucana.

Will post pictures soon.

They're probably actually Easter Eggers, which are Ameraucana mixes and are more common than real Ameraucanas

I guess you've read about the right heat. I keep the brooder at 90 degrees for the first week and raise the heat lamp a little each week for the first three weeks or so. Did you get medicated or unmedicated starter?
I would never be able to kill a small animal for my ball python Chark, but I wish I could

I would love to raise mice for him, but they're just too cute! They're less cute when they're frozen
