Whole corn for Cornish cross meat chickens

Hi new to raising chickens for meat my birds are about to turn 6 weeks old was wondering if alittle corn will hurt them on top of their high protein feed? Thanks

So long as they have grit. Some people finish on mostly corn

Whole dried corn? You can use a little like scratch but it get the Cracked corn.

I second the cracked corn over whole corn if we are talking about dried corn. You can feed out corn just fine. Feed corn is like 8% crude protein. Just make sure you're not feeding out more than 2:1 (feed : corn) or you might drop the their total protein down too much and they will stop growing.

Its too hot where I live to feed my meat chicken corn..........I read that their body will generate heat from breaking it down.

A lot of literature suggests that high fat, as opposed to high carb, is the better way to get calories into your chickens during peak heat. I understand your concerns. No advice, I don't raise meaties, don't have the space for post processing storage - which is to say, I need a big freezer.
