Hi new to raising chickens for meat my birds are about to turn 6 weeks old was wondering if alittle corn will hurt them on top of their high protein feed? Thanks

I second the cracked corn over whole corn if we are talking about dried corn. You can feed out corn just fine. Feed corn is like 8% crude protein. Just make sure you're not feeding out more than 2:1 (feed : corn) or you might drop the their total protein down too much and they will stop growing.

Its too hot where I live to feed my meat chicken corn..........I read that their body will generate heat from breaking it down.

A lot of literature suggests that high fat, as opposed to high carb, is the better way to get calories into your chickens during peak heat. I understand your concerns. No advice, I don't raise meaties, don't have the space for post processing storage - which is to say, I need a big freezer. ;)
