Whole Flock killed- I'm devastated

That is some awful luck..I really think the smaller louder faster chickens might have done it...I have a puppy that can restrain himself to not chase the big chickens...but the bantams are a hoot. The large Fowl have also all given up after being chased, and done the head in the sand trick..ya know they get tired of running, or too scared to go on and stick their heads in something and then act like, what that they've disappeared? I don't know..but all the large fowl have done that, so he was able to get a sniff of them...Apparently barnyard mix bantams are a little smarter when it comes to predators...they know that sticking their head in the leaves under a tree won't save them, but perhaps a branch in the tree itself will..then again I guess the big girls can't make it into the trees, either way my large fowl are not smart with their getaways...luckily he just wants to smell them apparently. Either way, he will lay in the yard with the big chickens wandering right in front of him, but when the bantams start coming around him he has to try to so hard to contain himself...luckily we got a shock collar so when I say no, it means no. Which enforced basically every command he has ever been taught..When I say no he stops and sits down, whether it's jumping on people, or chasing the chickens, or harassing our other dog incessantly. No, means No! So now when I tell him to stay, and he starts to get up, I can just say No! and he sits right back down. Awesome! I'm rambling, anyway bantams are hard on dogs..they are just so small and tasty and loud and fun to chase. Also them being new wouldn't help either. It's the excitement of it all...once a dog reaches a certain level of excitement there's no thought or reasoning to it. They are going to act like dogs...not pet dogs, but large predatory beasts that like to chase, paw and bite at things.
