whole kernel corn

i crack my corn cuz i noticed on there poop catching board there was whole kerrnals in there poo so aparently they pass it through there bodys whole and poop it out my advice to u is crack it if u can :]

I shell it off the cob every day and give each (7) coop & run a big handful..I got 22 bantams of different breeds and they all eat it love it..if they are getting grit will not hurt them at all and it's good before the cold weather for them.. I start giveing it to the young ones mother and she will call them and they will start young if they see her eating it..

My GLW are 6 months old and consider a few dried cobs of whole corn a huge treat. I picked through a neighbors field after they were done harvesting and got a big tubful to dole out here and there all winter. They roll the cobs around and peck away. Never saw any in their poop.

I've fed whole corn to mine for years and not once have I ever found an undigested kernal in their poo.

I'm thinking something may have dropped the kernel on the poop board -- mouse? Squirrel? Chipmunk? Chicken... maybe?

I had a squirrel who was storing whole corn and hickory nuts in a bag of pasture seed this fall. Little stinker. He's going to be disappointed to find I spread his winter's stash on the east paddocks.
