Well, I clearly have not been keeping as good of an eye on my ducks as I thought. Someone has been very sneaky. I’m not even sure how they did it, either, as my ducks usually only have access to the coop overnight. Conditions must’ve been just enough for this little one. As of 2 days ago, we have 1!! new flock member. Just the 1. There were a few other eggs in the clutch, but they all either didn’t develop, or stopped developing. It is quite remarkable, really. I think the baby is deserving of the name “Miracle.” I’m not entirely certain on who the parents are, but my hen, Laffy, has taken the most interest and care in the baby, so I have the 2 of them sectioned off from the flock for now.
