"who's building an incubator"

I have an old cabinet in my basement that's about 6ft tall and 2ft x 2ft. no shelves yet. I have wanted to make a incubator/brooder all in one, and this might work. I could have shelving for staggered hatches, using the bottom shelf for lockdown, and then transfer the chicks to the bottom section after they hatch. I have some eggs coming from a friend to hatch, and am seriously thinking about this project.

I say go for it! You will never know if you don't give it a shot. I would run it for a couple days to make sure that you can maintain humidity and temp.
