Sorry to add to the millions of posts from impatient newbies awaiting the first egg, but I just can't help myself. I figure I still enjoy reading them (gives me something to do when I'm taking a break from looking for eggs), so others might as well.
I've been thinking it will be any day now for the past week, and I thought I knew who would be first - now I'm not so sure, as the others all had a sudden growth spurt. Anyone care to wager a bet on who's going to give me my first egg, and when? These photos were all taken this morning.

    1. Sesame, Black Star (16 weeks)

    2. Kung Pao, Black Star (16 weeks)

    3. Szechwan, Easter Egger (15 weeks)
    4. Tikka/Tandoori, Red Stars (identical) (16 weeks)
    5. Cacciatore/Beercan, Speckled Sussex (identical) (16 weeks)
    6. Parmesan/Piccata, White Rocks (identical) (16 weeks)

Some additional information that may be helpful:
-I've heard one stanza of the Egg Song, only once (on Monday), from Sesame.
-Haven't seen anyone trying out the nesting boxes.
-They are all screeching and growling like velociraptors now.
-Nobody squats when I walk by, but they'll submit when I catch them (with a fight).

*Not pictured are 2 more EEs and 2 Light Brahmas, I'm pretty sure they'll be behind the others.

Im guessing that the first one will lay first. The comb and wattles are very well developed. Oh btw all of your hens are so pretty!!!

I'd guess the first bird or the "red" on the right.

My RSL was the first to lay at 19 weeks.
