Who's hatching around April 17th?

I have ten eggs in the bator. Three I KNOW are alive. The others I am leaving in there unless they start seeping.

The temp was at 96 for 14 days so I expect them to be a little late, but they should hatch by the end of the week....hopefully.

I am also getting eggs in a few days.

My hatching started last night. They were due on the 16th. I have 4 in the brooder box that already hatched and 2 in the incubator waiting to dry off and I have 3 pipping all eggs are from ordering. I am so happy. Hoping that the other 10 hatch. Good luck to everyone

4 Silkie chicks now from the broody. Also some due on the 18th from the bator. Quick question for those of you hatching from the bator, if they are all hatching at dif. times when do you take them out of the bator and put into the brooder if some take longer than others, is it safe to open up the bator after 24 hours and get the babies out while the others are still pipp/zipping?

Okay the second poult from the rescued eggs has pipped, zipped a bit and stayed that way since yesterday. I'm afraid he's stuck like the first but since I know he can breathe, I'm leaving him in there. The rest of the staggered hatch are another two or three days behind him. I'll break the little bugger out late today if he can't do it. But pip and partial zip is better than the first did before it died.

Today I changed the definition of stuffing a turkey. I bought six red assorted day old chicks from TSC and tonight I STUFFED em under the demented broody turkey. She went after me but in a minute or two was talking to the babies. Maybe, just maybe if any of them survive the night that will but an end to this. She needs to get out and stop this.

How I ended up with the injured duckling from TSC is another story lol.

Tomorrow is day 18 for my first 12 Blue Ameraucana eggs from my new trio. Almost time to take them out of the turner and wait, wait, wait!

Good luck on everyones hatches!!
