Have you thought to help it a little? I usually do if they are taking to long or seem in distress. I have not lost 1 that I have helped.

If they take to long the membrane seems to dry around them keeping them from escaping.

I think the one that is pipped is too late to help, and the others aren't even pipped.

Put them to your ear and see if they are making noise when you tap them.

As for the one you think is to late, crack the shell a little around where it has pipped through. You will know.

Ok, little girl duckie died - I expected that to happen, but the good news is that I have another duck egg that is rocking like mad - so there is hope for the other 6 eggs after all.
