Yes, both of the incubators have auto turners. I keep the hova around 100% (forced air) and the LG around 101 (still air). I just don't know what else it could be...

WOOHOO!!!! I have 2 pips out of my 4 call duck eggs. This waiting is going to seem like forever, lol. I cant wait to have some call babies.

Mojo Chick'n :

Ok, to stop me from touching the hatcher... I took some pics of Squishy and Spiffy.

This is the only one that halfway turned out - I have chicks in there, too. Spiffy is smaller than the chicks he hatched out with - and Squishy is three weeks old (but was still larger at hatch than Spiffy was). Spiffy is probably the tiniest ducky I've ever seen.

Ohhhh my goodness....I didn’t even realize the little guy on the bottom!!!! I was mesmerized with the beautiful one above. What kind is it?? I love the coloring! The little one is so cute, I want to steal them both! What kind is it? Call I assume?

They're both call ducks - the one is older by about two and a half weeks (he grew fast!!) The little one I wasn't sure would make it - had some issues at hatch, but is doing great. Got another one from the same mama hatching right now - is a small egg, too, so is gonna be another tiny one. The older duckie was bigger at hatch - the egg was bigger, these two (Spiffy and the new one trying to hatch) are from eggs that are a little smaller than my chicken eggs.

Squishy is from a blue pair (look like blue swedish, only in a call duck) and the tiny one is from the same blue drake and a khaki colored mama.

I had to look three times this morning to find my tiny one in the brooder bin, she is so small, the other chicks hide her well.

I am hoping to get my brooder coop done/opened very soon so I can lessen the crowding in here. I'm building runs onto my other coops down the hill, and turning my original coop into the brooder coop - it is more draft free and better for babies. Once the runs are done, I can move the big chickens out and the babies in.

Well, the first duck that hatched seems to have taken a turn for the worse. It has developed pasty butt, so I got that cleared up, but its body is looking more twisted and I keep finding it on its back. It isn't crying or anything. Just peeping now and then, but it is time to think about culling (man I hate that).

The other duck's eye issues are about resolved, its feet look fine and it is growing rapidly.

Hi Everyone. I am New to BYC and hatching my first Call Duck Eggs.
I have read books and found many great web sites on the subject. This site is wonderful.

I have 3 Call Duck Eggs due April 14 thru 16 and a second batch due to hatch April 26. I hear these are harder to hatch then others so hoping for the best!

I have 2 Khaki Cambell ducks and 2 Blue Swedish. They are only 3 weeks old.

These ducks are joining my 3 Horses, 3 Dogs, 5 Cats and a Rabbit. I lost my 13 and 11 year old rabbits so thought I would try Ducks this time.

That is soooo exciting! I can't wait to see pictures - call babies are so adorable!

Oh man this is killing me! I KNOW I am gonna have some babies today! My one goose egg is still going strong too. This egg was the VERY FIRST one my buff goose ever laid and not only was it fertile - it's gonna hatch! Amazing!

On the negative side - I think one of my first lavender goose eggs is a quitter - I still have a bunch of them going strong - but that sucks.

Back to the positive! Remember those free saxony duck eggs I got because the guy sent me the wrong package? I have 12 of them developing out of 20. Really out of 18 because I dropped two.

And I have like a bizillion runner eggs still going...it's gonna be a bumper crop if even half of my eggs hatch!

Call eggs - who knows. I might have to rearrange pens if this batch aren't fertile.

AND my embden goose is sitting on 8 eggs. She's such a good broody!

AND one of my buffs is getting the itch to sit as well...
