I have never hatched eggs, but the fridge is getting overrun with duck eggs (pekin and runner) so rather than keep putting them in there I figured I'd buy an incubator and try to hatch some. My husband doesn't really understand the logic of this, but I'm sure all of you do. I have read (on duckeggs.com) that the humidity for duck eggs should be 86% on up to 94%. Is this true? Is it even possible to have humidity that high without being in the middle of a rainstorm? That is twice as high as what I've read for chick eggs. Any advice is welcome, I'm learning a lot and hopefully will have a little bit of luck.
