I LOVE those photos!!! What a face!!!

Here are my babies. They hatched right on time and I only lost 2 ducklings, which is good considering all the problems I was having. Click on the picture to enlarge.

Oh no Shelly-none of them made it to the finish?

I'd offer more eggs but I let the girls go broody and no one's laying anymore. Maybe next year?

I don't think it was me this time, since I have 2 blues that were set a week before, they are almost done and still going strong from what I can tell. But 3 of the 4 had floating air sacs, and one of those has a tiny quitter in it. They are about 2 weeks along now, and still in the bator just in case, but I honestly think I should be able to see something. Actually by this time, the eggs should be so dark that I can't see anything!

Oh my GAWD!!! I got off here with every intention of going to bed. I realized that I hadn't misted or cooled my goose eggs yet, so I went to do that. Since the bator was open, and I have eggs from my ducks due in a few days, I decided to candle them.

THOSE EGGS WENT TO THE HATCHER FAST!!!

They aren't due till the 4th (Monday), and of the 22 eggs, 15 OF THEM HAVE PIPPED INTERNALLY!!!

And quite a few of them have external pips!! Oh my GAWD!!! The last hatch I tried to do with these eggs I got one baby from over 20 eggs!! These have been in my hovabator 1583, the others had been in my LG. The LG is sooooooooooo going!!!! There are 4 or 5 of the eggs that look like quitters, but there are 15!!! that are pipped!!

Oh no!! Did I even check the blue goose eggs??

Those are due on the 6th!! I had better get to checking them, they might be early pippers too!!

Congrats everyone!
Geez, these ducks are cruel. Last night four pipped. This morning. . .four are pipped. They are making progress (like one more pip on each of them) but soooo slow.
I guess I got spoiled with chicks.
My chicks were all out within 8 hrs of pipping.
Oh well, I guess they are still a day early, so I will try to go about my regular schedule. . .

My wild mallards have Pipped internally about how long do you think it will be now? A few had last night and it looks like just about all have now.
