Who's Hatching in Dec. 2011 ?

I have chicks! 2 of them to be exact, one Silver Grey Dorking and one black bantam, most likely a mix of Silkie, Bantam Cochin or other little tiny crossbred banties.

We have 7 chickies now. Wanted to show off our little chickies !

Chickies will always cheer you up regardless of the sad things that go on at a farm. You can read about it on our website under Showing Chickens.

I have a question and I hope someone on here can help me out. My eggs are due to hatch tomorrow. I had one chick batch out today. Now except the chick that hatched it is quiet in the incubator. I don't hear any picking or anything going on. Are my eggs dead? Please help. Thank you in advance.

Day 20 today. Came home 5:00 pm EST and four have pipped. Now have six of 16 pipped two hours later.

Only concern is wet bulb reads 99 which at 99.5 F puts humidity at high 80's into 90's I would think I'd have major fogging at these levels so I tend to think not. I can only hope that the wet bulb wick is twisted and clogged (as it appears), and therefore highly inaccurate and true humidity is closer to the digital reading. Digital (uncalibrated), shows 40 relative.

Too late to do anything so, time will tell.

My lonely, only chick had two friends hatch out yesterday and when I pulled them out there were two more pips. Well today those pips have popped and I have another 3 pips!

It's not unusual to get an early bird, the rest are probably just waiting till they are ready tomorrow.

I've had many hatches over 2 or 3 or more days.
