I've got 13 chicks, 1 that has zipped, and 4 that have pipped out of 24 (chicken) eggs.

One hatched at 11 last night. One is starting to zip, and another one is rocking around the bator!

I started with 8. One was infertile. I have the other 4 in the bator, but 99.9% sure nothing will come out of those.

All in all, though, for being my first hatch and using a LG and hand turning, I am very very happy! Not counting the infertile egg, I got a 43% hatch (well, if the other 2 do indeed hatch).

My first ever egg to hatch was a cuckoo silkie from Sassie Silkies! Very cute!

Well I have 3 buff orps and one black Australorp out and a whole lotta pipping going on.

I set these eggs in the evening, so I am pretty sure it is gonna be a long night..

This is the first hatch that does not seem to be going to well. I thought I had this down to a science, but I guess anything can go wrong.

I have 3 turkeys out and no more pips. 1 turkey may have to be culled due to rolling on his back and can't get back over.

Turkens are coming along, I have about 6 out of 13 so far. Pipping has not been so regular like other hatches. One pip, one hatch. I don't have a bunch of pipping and waiting.

i have one still in the egg pipping from early saturday should i be helpping this one out or just leave it alone. ot sure what to do at this point? also have another one that just started pipping this evening hope he comes out tomorrow.

Here's the result of my 3rd time incubating eggs:
12 eggs received-3 discarded d/t soiling-3 nonfertile-6 made it to day 18 and hatched! 1 has 5 toes! hehehehe. 1 has a bum leg but looks healthy and can move itself around but not quite stand up so watering might be an issue. I think it's the RIR/blue cochin mix d/t brown on its jawline. 2 look like blue cochin, 1 looks like the favorelle cochin cross, and I think 2 black cochin.

So far I have 15 chicks in the brooder, 6 pipped, one halfway out... and 6 that are doing nothing.

My little partridge cochin hatched! Yay! Still another banty egg in the "not doing anything" pile.
