Who's Incubating in Nov. 2011 ?

Hmmm....interesting....that's about 58%.

Our first egg I don't think is going to hatch (not fertilized ? dried stuff on the outside of the shell) 3 more of the BB Red OEG due Dec. 7th. Have some Ameraucanas in the incubator too, due Dec. 12, 13.

Still adding more as we get them.

Did I ask you what color silkies you are hatching ?

We always use the incubator plain (don't use the egg turner). We just turn them 3x a day (once after each meal). Mark an X on one side, and an O on the other.

You should hear the chickie chirping inside the day before they will hatch.

So, we don't use "lockdown".

I had some babies last time we talked but, nothing in the bator. Yes, he is a nice looking little guy. This is the first batch with him as a dad.

Aw, so nice to hear from you DandyDoodle !! Can't wait to see your chickie pics ! Is this your second batch since last time I talked to you ? I think you had another hatch going then. Skooter really grew up to be a handsome rooster.

We were supposed to be having one hatch today, but we think it's not fertile and will get pitched. Now our next target date to watch for new chickies is Dec. 7th (right before our little anniversary vacation).

We just started taking eggs from the 1st pair of Ameraucanas Korbin wanted to breed (non-standard colors).

We've been getting on egg a day. We'll be done collecting eggs in a just a 2 weeks if she keeps laying at that rate ! He only wants 10 from this pair (so we'll collect 15 eggs).

Then it will be time to move out the pair and pair up 2 more (hopefully standard colored Ameraucanas).

He's working on creating new Ameraucana colors to get one into the standard someday ! Glad to see he still sticks to his goals.

Again, so great to see you on here !

Congratulations !!!

Can't wait to see your pic !!

have a look on page 19, i think i have put it on there. But i have since had another 4 hatch including a black one which threw me as all the others have been yellow. The dad isnt a silkie, he is a full size rooster. The silkies are some unsexed chicks that i bought and they all turned into boys. But they are so darn cute and they get on really well together, even if they are all boys!

No thanksgiving here! We keep our turkeys for christmas, along with prawns, seafood, ham, really anything goes down here as often its reall really hot!

Congrats to everybody! And Happy Thanksgiving! Can't wait to see everyone's pics! I'll post some of my own shortly! Between yesterday afternoon and early this morning, out of seven eggs, all hatched out and are fluffy and healthy!
