I candled my eggs last night, on day nine, and was pleased to see 9 of them had the air sack and you could see the chicki, a couple were moving around. I have five bantam eggs that are Old English Game and four that are silkie/maran. The other two didn't candle well as I couldn't see much except they were dark inside. I don't think thy're fertile as I just put a roo in with them several days before but thought I'd take a chance. I had a Wyandotte go broody in September and she hatched the one Old English and one Old English and silkie mixed as one has feathers on it's feet but they're the color of the Old English. She hatched three but one died. They're doing fine now having hatched on Oct. 18. They were the only eggs I knew to be fertile since my big hens didn't have a rooster at that time.
