Who's Incubating in Nov. 2011 ?

I candled my eggs last night, on day nine, and was pleased to see 9 of them had the air sack and you could see the chicki, a couple were moving around. I have five bantam eggs that are Old English Game and four that are silkie/maran. The other two didn't candle well as I couldn't see much except they were dark inside. I don't think thy're fertile as I just put a roo in with them several days before but thought I'd take a chance. I had a Wyandotte go broody in September and she hatched the one Old English and one Old English and silkie mixed as one has feathers on it's feet but they're the color of the Old English. She hatched three but one died. They're doing fine now having hatched on Oct. 18. They were the only eggs I knew to be fertile since my big hens didn't have a rooster at that time.

I love reading about how your chickies are doing.

Im so happy, even if its the only one that i get, im happy, at least i did something right. And in another surprise, the one that didnt have an air cell in it, and i thought was going to be a gonner has been the second one to pip!! i must have had it tilted in the right spot and its got its beak out and chiping away, Just need it to get out, Have been in looking at the bator every 5 minutes

This is from the egg that i first saw veins on and was the first i saw wiggling, Its always been my favourite egg and it was the first to hatch!

The one with no air cell is working its way out, very very slowly, im a smige worried about the membranes drying, have been keepign the water up to the incubator

Going down to see if last nights pip has turned into 2 babies instead of one.
