Our temp. fluctuates also when the weather gets cooler. We always try to check the thermometer to make sure it stays at 102 degrees Fahrenheit on the cheapo thermometer at the top of the eggs.

Her crest is so cute ! (and so fluffy and huge !) I love her !

I do love Polish. Too bad my 2 sons don't.

I have a silkie sitting on 6 eggs. she has been sitting for 5 to 6 days.

) It was still cooler in the incubator than out of it!

Not going to far tomorrow, i so so hope i get to see a little pip. I have lawn bowls on thursday and i wont be home most of the day, i will be a nervous wreck while im out!!

I have the brown chickens. I think i have some pics somewhere of the mums and dad, will have to find them. I do have some silkies but i have 3 boys and no girls at this stage. Im debating whether to get a silkie hen and let her lay then hatch them, or just get a dozen silkie eggs and hopefully get a hen that way.

We set 9 of our own flock eggs on November 17th. Needed to get one more small batch in before the New Year's Day hatch!! I think we've lost our minds...
