thats a bit rude of them! Didnt they know you wanted to have a look? you need a little alarm to wake them up first

First hatches tend to be the hardest. But, you could be surprised how resilient little chicks can be. I have had a broody hen just up and decided that she did not want to sit anymore.....over 24hrs latter I took the eggs in and finished incubation and almost all hatched. The ones that did had no problems what so ever.

another temp spike!!!! I will be so glad when this cool change comes in overnight!

i guess trying to keep the temp of the bator down is hard when its just as hot outside the bator if not hotter, Hope my broody is ok.

. Temperatures dropped when I went into lockdown, and never would stabilize. It is time to get a new incubator.

Ma Noob, your broody should be fine. I had a hen hatch her clutch last summer after sitting through 112 degree days.

Thank you, Melissa Rose. I needed a hug. I was so looking forward to having little fuzzy butts in the house again. I will try again in Febuary with a new incubator.
