I plan on setting my green eggs and my dark eggs from my cuckoo marans mix girls and my welsummers that were in with my cuckoo marans rooster I did just change and put my rir roo with those girls but I think it's too soon to expect him to be the daddy, sigh my rir roo makes the best babies. So far I have 3 roos out of him that have an awesome personality and non agresive, the cuckoo makes beautiful girls as long as you like barred chickens lol
Sorry for not replying sooner. It is day 21! Out of the 3 Coronation Sussex eggs I have one that pipped yesterday and is currently working on zipping. I have 5 more eggs from my chickens in there also, but none are zipping. I did not set them until noon on Sunday three weeks ago so they may come out tomorrow.

Did you incubate or did you have a broody?
Sorry, all I read was chicks hatched, lol!
It seems to be doing well, growing and very active, and is due to hatch at the end of next week. I had put an egg from my neighbor in as well in case this happened, but no sign of development in that one. Her flock seems to have pretty low fertility rates (lots of older girls) so I'm not that surprised, but that's left me trying to figure out what to do with one lone chick...
