Who's My Daddy (and who's my mommy)?

I have another one. Easter Egger mom for sure. Daddy could be Golden Laced Polish, Salmon Faverolle, or Easter Egger. She has clean slate legs with 4 toes and a pea comb. The cresting is a dominant trait. Takes a couple generations to breed out of them

Not to debunk, but why do CCL chicks not have a visible crest at hatch?

They still express the (incomplete dominant) crested gene. You just can't see it at hatch the way you do with silkies and polish, ect. But it's still there. Less developed crests often take longer to show up

I'd say Salmon Faverolle x Easter Egger on the new chick. I still stand by my old guesses on the other squirts.

Another question.... regarding silkie chicks. I have chicks that hatched out of silkie and show girl eggs. How do I tell if they are pure silkie / showgirl? They are about 3 weeks and have normal looking wing feathers, but all have black skin/beaks and feathered legs with 5 toes.
