duckies too. My pre-teen daughter used her own money to buy two Rouen ducklings at the feed store this spring (both turned out to be drakes, but sweeties) and I had purchased some runner duck eggs that hatched a month ago: I have 5 one month old faun and white runners.

Here is our runners this afternoon: Puddles, Paddles, Wadell, P Ducky, and Buttercrunch

They are so pretty, I really would love to have some runner oneday. I have 8 adult Muscovies and this lil duckling mama rejected her the other one died in the egg and one dud, so I am mama duck and she is my baby. She is my avatar.

She is beautiful

I absolutely love the ducks, especially the runners...they are SO funny. I told my husband that it was a good thing I got chickens first or we'd have a whole lot more ducks....he was like...um...no way (not that I would have listened....he's a sucker for cute baby critters and they would have just magically appeared one day)

I LOVE her feet. She is quite the looker and poses well for the camera. Are you going to get her one of those duck diapers and let her in the house? I mentioned that to my husband in reference to my favorite chicken (she gets picked on and has a special house by the ducks) and he thought I was out of my mind

Gosh, why did the good lord make so many amazingly gorgeous animals: My want list definitely exceeds my funding and space...and we have 7 acres!

thanks for helping. My initial list was ancona, magpie, blue swedish. However, those guesses were all based on photos I found on the internet...not actually ever seeing one of these type ducks.

I know the lady where these eggs came from has at least a couple kinds of ducks: One is really small and those eggs, which were not fertile, were tiny and tan (shaped kind of like guinea eggs). The mom who gave me the eggs only knew that her daughter had paid about $250 for one of her original pair of ducks last year: All the eggs were blue tinted. This lady is in her 80's and I don't think her memory is what it used to be, but she is as sweet as the day is long.
We were talking at a Friday night softball game and I told her about my runner ducks hatching. She found out I had an incubator and then at the game Saturday showed up with a bowl full of eggs for me. I only got three ducklings out of 9 eggs, but that's okay...they were free.

I believe the op's ducklings are swedish mixes. I have had several hatch that look like the one with all the white, that can happen is your coach has any pekins in with her swedish, my pekin male mates with one of my swedish mixed girls and they make babies that look like magpies they have so much white on them. I dont have the babies or I would post a pic, I gave a friend a buttload of eggs to hatch and he got 3 or 4 that looked like that.

How are they doing? I just wanted to add (after all this time i know) that magpie's color pattern is very hard to breed for and only if u get them from a breeder (or have extreme luck) will they have the saddle on there back and hood on there head.
