This summer has been so hot and dry.We haven't had a inch of rain here since june,and things are so dry.The pumpkins are mostly dead with temps in the 90s and humit.Today it is 112 with the heat index.We need fall and rain to get here fast.Any one else

I can not wait for fall, cool temps and football!!!

The only thing I will miss about summer is I really didn't get to do everything I wanted to do with my little mini farm this summer. Just worked too many hours at my real job

I am the kind of person who would like to pass on summer.I hateeeeeee the heat

Not me! Everyday closer to fall just gets us one day closer to our first winter in northern North Dakota, and I am not even ready for -40 degree temps. We still have a lot to do to make sure our farm and chickens will be able to hold up to all that cold and snow.

I cannot wait either. 100+ degree days at seven and a half months pregnant STINKS. I need cool nights and crisp air pronto!

Bring on the first frost! I don't like heat and humidity, but I can live with it. The mosquito plague, now that's a whole other topic! I can't wait for winter this year, or at least a frosty fall day!

Pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, apple pie and roasted anything with stuffing is good, too!

I wish it was only another 45 days. We won't cool off until mid-late October. I can remember the kids in Halloween costumes with sweat pouring off their faces--as they trick-or-treated, not just during the day.
