and with you on this one, you get winters like I do (northern Ontario Canada) I am certainly not ready for fall at all. my snowblower isn't fixed, I haven't repaired my thermo pane window in the dinning, my furnace is not even installed and I am in the middle of trying to get the basement ready to be insulated and same with the attic. in my defense its been one delay after another the whole summer and then hubby kept being sent out of town for work :-( he taught me how to put up the insulation in the basement but the insulation hasn't even arrived yet, some sort of delay at the plant. I am however ready for apple picking, and apple pies with spice and the smell of cinnamon, and pumpkins, picking pumpkins with my kids and maple leafs off the ground and pasting them up in little home made books and then seeing how many different colour leaves we can get. I am ready for fall hikes and watching the mama bears round here take her cubs to find their resting place for winter. I am ready for small game hunting, and fishing at the lake without worrying about hand size mosquitoes. I am ready for fall fair in town where I can buy all the yummy preserves, maple syrups and walnut butters and home raised honey, ready to buy that hand crafted angel for the top of the Xmas tree that we can only get the last week of September at the fall fair for only one vendor that spends all year making these beautiful angels...ok so I could go on and on...fall is my favorite season!!!! but here it last a month sometimes a lot less. :-(
