Who's Setting Eggs This Week[end]? [August 8-14]

I am setting a dozen Welsh Harlequin duck eggs this weekend....it will be my first hatch with my own eggs. I'm a little nervous!! I'm going to keep any ducklings i get though, at least over the winter.....anyone had problems with hatching this late in the year? I know someone who said late hatches normally don't do well.....

I've never hatched ducks, but I have never had a problem with late chicken hatches. You just have to be more careful when adjusting them to outside temp.

Its all about complaining so much that they get tired of hearing about it and go buy you one

Ugh. I can't wait for the new incubator! My little giant keeps spiking and dipping, I'll be surprised If I get 1 baby out of this mess.

Waititout: I'm on day 5 too!!

4H. I've never set duck eggs, do you have to mist them? Thought I read that somewhere.

Our 4 H fair is tomorrow, our first year, we are Excited! Showing 7 chickens and 2 hogs.

Is it in a room where the temps are constant? Doesn't take much to throw them off. Sorry you are having trouble with it :(

I think my digital thermometer is messed up. It's reading is way off the manual thermometer...the regular thermometer says its 105 and the digital says 100...I hope it's not that far off. I'm going to be really upset if that expensive digital pos ruins what few eggs I've got in there
