Too funny! I've done the same exact thing several times this week!
WRVgirl: Yes, the Imported English Orps are quite expensive. I paid $50 for my first dozen (without shipping) and $100 for the second breeder's 30 eggs. I hope to diversify the genetics some by crossing the 2 lines.

Who did you buy them from? I paid 70$ for 10 eggs that are only 75% English.

My lf brahma hatched last night....nothing out of the orp eggs

Got up to 4 more hatched out for a total of 10. With 5 more pipping. I have a black one hatched in a batch of RIRs. Not sure what it is. Will have to check with my dad to see what it is.

Geatano Family Farms and ReniesPeeps. Both sets were supposed to be 100%. Although...you are could be better off with the 75%, as I've heard the Imports can struggle adapting to the array of new diseases they are exposed to here.

Ok guy now that im finally able to stay awake for a few min I wanted to tell my story, so this morning at 7 I went in for my third surgery to reconstruct my foot, anyways the nurse told me as soon as I was coming out of anisthesia I asked her how were my eggs? lol

I dont remember that but I also yelled at my poor husband the whole 45 min deive home, telling him to hurry up I need to check my eggs! poor guy any ways, no babies yet for me not even a pip. I got some slow babies,

Well my 6 miniature silkies should hatch today. Nothing this morning when I woke up and I'm in work now. Will I find any babies when I get home I wonder?
Got 9 more eggs due to hatch tomorrow so hoping to have a few babies to fuss over this weekend. They were all shipped eggs so I'm not expecting miracles.
Can't wait!
Humidity is a steady 70, so better than my first attempt where nothing hatched. I so want some babies this time!

I knocked out last night at about midnight and there was one fluffy little peep this morning, I am kind of nervous that the Orps haven't even pipped yet. I assumed they'd all do it together.

HAHAHA..Tell the nurse that .... Now thats very telling how we are SOO into our hatching eggs.
What day are you on?
I am on 19 and dont expect anything until maybe tomorrow or Sat. which is Hatch day. But iam pretty excited about this hatch as i saw so many dark eggs this time not 1 or 3 ..11!!! Better not brag or i will get shot down by the hatch gods.....
Stomach wasnt doing flips yet...... (until i mentioned tomorrow) Need to buy some Mylanta or Tums. and nerve pills.
I only wish i took them make hatching easier on your psychi but then I would be junky as i have so many hatches b/c i am a total hatch addicted.I admit it.
